The municipality is considering options for designating Lyle Street and Shore Road in Dartmouth as “Local Street Bikeways” and we would like to hear your thoughts.

We have scheduled two on-street community engagements to provide an opportunity for residents to learn more, ask us questions, and share their feedback.

The engagement materials are now available (see sidebar) as well as a public survey below for those unable to attend the pop-up sessions. The survey will be available from July 23rd through August 12th.

THE SURVEY IS NOW CLOSED. Thank you to everyone who participated! Stay tuned for the What We Heard Report in the coming weeks.

The plan that is currently being considered would retain on-street parking between Lyle and Mott Streets, but would remove it between Mott and Geary Streets.

Yes, we are considering how to continue the Dartmouth Waterfront Trail between Alderney Landing and Geary Street.  Options include using HRM municipal parking lots and/or reconfiguring part of Alderney Drive.  That project is in the still in the early planning stage.

The materials are available for download and viewing on the side panel of this webpage (top right).  The concept is for joint car bicycle access on the roadway.
