Trans or Transgender is an umbrella term referring to people whose gender identity differs from the sex they were assigned at birth.

Two-spirit is an umbrella term that encompasses many diverse indigenous gender identities and sexual orientations. For some, the term implies the embodiment of both masculine and feminine spirits in the same body.

Non-binary is a form of self-identification for individuals whose gender identity falls outside the dominant female/male binary. There are many identities that fall under this umbrella such as, genderqueer, gender fluid, agender, and gender neutral. Some non-binary individuals reject gender completely, others see themselves as existing on a gender spectrum.
