Centre Plan

Welcome to the Centre Plan project!

Input from thousands of stakeholders including residents, business owners and developers have directly influenced the Centre Plan. The project team undertook in-depth and thoughtful analysis of feedback received during each phase of the public engagement to make the Plan stronger. Arriving at this milestone of the Centre Plan project is a shared achievement; thank you for your remarkable contributions to this project to ensure we are building better communities.

In charting a path for growth, the Centre Plan will deliver direction for businesses, developers, organizations, community groups and residents regarding the future of the Regional Centre.

The Centre Plan document will be reviewed by the Community Design Advisory Committee on March 29, the Community Planning & Economic Development Standing Committee on April 20 and then by Regional Council (date TBD). If the Centre Plan direction is authorized by Regional Council, staff will proceed with formal implementation by finalizing detailed policy and land use regulation in late summer for Council to consider adopting through a future public hearing process.
